A group of engineers and scientist discovered a new species near a river in Brazil that connected to Amazon. They called it Atretochoana eiseltiis , also known as caecilian, which some people might know as a limbless amphibian.

It's appearance can be compare to a male reproductive organs and  also to a blind snake. Despite looking like snakes,they aren’t reptiles and are more closely related to salamanders and frogs. 6 weird looking creatures were caught, one died, three were released again to the wild and the rest are kept for studies.

“We think the animal breathes through its skin, and probably feeds on small fish and worms, but there is still nothing proven.
“The Amazon is a box of surprises when it comes to reptiles and amphibians. There are still much more to be discovered” Mr Tuppan said.
